Business Journal Notes "Investment"

Subscribers to The Business Journal of Milwaukee may have noticed KLH's appearance in the Feb. 26 issue. The article, "Investing in the company's future" by Stacy Vogel Davis, appeared on the front page of the "Strategies for Small Businesses" section. In it, Davis details how KLH reinvested in its workforce during the past 18 months.

Even as the company reaches out to new customers, it’s trying to become more efficient with its small staff…Heins learned about lean manufacturing years ago and believes in its principles, he said. A state grant convinced him to put his workers through the training.

Despite a difficult economic climate, KLH employees, on average, received 102 hours of training in 2009.
